is what happened! After leaving Hood River, Oregon, and traveling
throughout the back roads of South America
on a motorcycle, Jodi (the Brazilians call her by her middle
name, Patricia)found a new paradise in Jericoacoara.
She decided
to settle and build Vila Bela Vista so she could continue to
live her dream: meet new people from around the world and
windsurf,
kitesurfing, and
horseback riding everyday.

are located in front of the beautiful sand dunes on the outskirts of the small village of
Jericoacoara
where there is still peace and tranquility. It is a leisurely
five -ten-minute walk to the beach or town on sandy roads with
incredible views.
Unlike a conventional hotel, accommodations are not just a
room with a number. Patricia and her husband Marcio run
the small hotel with just thirteen rooms and offer exceptional
personal service. Rooms are equipped with split air
conditioning with remote control, safes, hot water showers, mini-fridge, box-spring mattresses, and large decks with views of
the National Park. There is a great swimming
pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by large, beautiful gardens for
your relaxation. There is a kids area with a
trampoline, tree house, and a climbing wall! Yoga and dance
classes are offered at VBV three days a week. Water from our 40-meter deep well has been
tested and is safe to drink.
There is a wide-open kitchen, pool-bar and BBQ area where
we have monthly Brazilian-style BBQ parties with live music.
Homemade dinners with our family are also available nightly.
